PURPLE!!!!

I've been dying to try this technique forever..ok, since October. I stuck the crayons on the fabric with tape...that didn't work so well..so I pinned them on. Turned on the hair dryer on high...not so good either, but now I have a pink shirt with purple dots ;0, Turned the dryer down to low...only thing about that is that the fuse blew and you have to run up and down the stairs while the husband wonders what the heck is going on. After that I got the "melt" under control and had fun. You can even get the color to "bleed" in controlled ways.

Then you get to photograph the piece. I tried several settings to see "what if", but found that you really can't see what has happened until you bring them up on the computer. Then you find cool things!!! Do you see the little wizard on top of the crayons with the cat beside him?? Gotta love serendipty!!! Loving that I can combine two of my favorite things and have a fun day. Can't wait to quilt the piece...I see holographic thread and swarovski crystals...too cool!
